Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOCG

Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOCG

Soil type: Calcareous with medium clay mixture.

Planting density: 4000 plants/Ha

Harvesting system: traditional Guyot

Yield: 70q/Ha

Harvest: Manual in small perforated boxes. Early October with sugar density higher than 20 g/l.

Vinification: must starts forming and is subsequently poured into a steel tank at controlled temperature for 15/18 days. Traditional racking and pressing until the sugar transformation is completed.


Wine description: IMPORTANT WINE

Colour: bright and very intense red with violet shades.


Scent: Intense and persistent with plum, black cherry and peach scent.


Taste: Dry, full and pleasantly fresh and generous.


Food pairing: For the whole meal, in moderation. It goes very well with ravioli, stews and roasts, also suitable for macerating red meats.


Serving temperature: served chilled 16 - 18°C


Characteristics: this is the result of the organic cultivation of the vineyard which, through plant fertilization, allows: biodiversity and corporate sustainability. Good agronomic practices, the absolute absence of chemicals and/or synthesis, characterise this wine which is marketed two years after the harvest, following its own evolution in aromas and perfumes. It reveals its characteristics over time.

Vinification: maceration in steel tanks, soft pressing of the grapes, refrigeration and filtration, selected yeasts inoculation and fermentation in autoclave up to 6%.

Colour: Rosé.

Scent: Intense rose.

Taste: Delicate perfectly balanced with acid freshness and light perlage.

Food pairing: Desserts and fresh seasonal fruit.

Traditional racking and pressing until the sugar transformation is completed. In the first phase it is necessary to carry out repeated decanting for a correct cleaning.


Description of the wine: Colour: Intense and brilliant red with violet shades.


Scent: winy, fruity, fragrant with of ripe cherry hints.


Taste: Dry, full with a pleasant bitterish aftertaste, typical tannic.


Food pairing: It goes well with first and main courses, perfect for snacks with cold cuts and cheese.

Vinification: grapes soft pressing, refrigeration and inoculation filtration of the autochthonous yeasts selected by our grapes in 2013 in autoclave up to 5.5%. Packaging in a protected area and external stabilization of the bottle.


Description of the wine: AROMATIC SWEET LUXURY WINE


Colour: Almost intense straw yellow


Scent: Fragrant, with hints of orange blossom, acacia, apricot and peach.


Taste: Balanced acid and fresh, it has an interesting aroma in the mouth.


Food pairing: With aperitifs and traditional desserts, especially those hazelnut based. The low alcohol content is ideal for drinking it with friends at any time of the day.
